Local 525 JATC — Applicant Points Training App

This app was created to help applicants earn apprenticeship application points by providing quick access to approved training options through ClickSafety and Herc Rentals.
Below is an overview of how the app is organized and what each section contains.

1. ClickSafety Section

The first section of the app provides a direct link to the ClickSafety website.
Directly underneath the website link is the ClickSafety Approved Online Safety Courses PDF, which includes the full list of approved courses and their Course IDs.

Applicants should review this PDF carefully to select courses that will count toward their apprenticeship application.

Examples of Approved Courses:

• OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 (English/Spanish)

• Fall Protection

• Confined Spaces in Construction

• HAZWOPER 16-Hour

Once completed, applicants must save and submit their certificates for points.

2. Herc Rentals Section

The second section of the app provides a direct link to the Herc Rentals Safety Training website.
This website will take applicants directly to the registration form, where they can sign up for approved Herc Rentals safety training courses.

Beneath the website link are two PDFs:

• PDF 1: Herc Rentals Approved Safety Training Courses Flyer
  This flyer lists the safety training programs accepted by Local 525 JATC.
  The QR code on the flyer also leads directly to the Herc Rentals Safety Training website.

• PDF 2: Herc Rentals Training Schedule
  This schedule includes in-person and virtual training opportunities with specific dates, times, and locations for the remainder of the year.

  Accepted Herc Rentals Safety Trainings for Applicant Points

  • Forklift Training

  • MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms)

  • Fall Protection

  • Confined Spaces

  • Rigging

  If it’s not on this list, we do not accept it for points, even if it appears on the Herc Rentals flyer.

Registration Note:
All applicants must register for Herc Rentals courses through the Herc Rentals Safety Training website.
When filling out the registration form:

• Sales Rep / Contact: Armando Delgado

• Comments/Questions: Include your preferred course date and note that you are registering as an applicant through Local 525 JATC.
  
  

   Important Notice to All Applicants

  Application Period: August 15 – March 15

  Please note that all applicants—regardless of when you submit your application—share the same final deadline to submit certifications or documents that count toward your application points.

  Deadline to Submit Certifications: March 15

  This means:

  • If you apply early (for example, in August), you may continue submitting eligible certifications until March 15.

  • If you apply later (for example, on March 13), you still have only until March 15—two days later—to turn in all certifications that can earn you points.

  No additional documents or certifications will be accepted after March 15.

  Please ensure that all trade, safety, or technical certifications you wish to have considered for point credit are uploaded or delivered by the final deadline.
